What data is free?
All public land boundaries (BLM, USFS, NPS, FWS, DOD, BOR), Game Management Units in 21 states, hunting season dates, weather and hunting conditions, today's Hunt Forecast score, up to 10 waypoints, and GPS track recording are completely free.
What do I get by subscribing?
A subscription adds private parcel boundaries plus every premium feature: unlimited waypoints, offline topo map downloads, track and area import, the 7-day Hunt Forecast outlook with Good-Day Alerts, the harvest log, hunt groups, and waypoint photo attachments.
There are two plans:
- Single State — $19.99/year. Parcel boundaries for one state, plus all of the premium features above.
- All States — $7.99/month or $39.99/year. Parcel boundaries for every covered state, plus all of the premium features above.
Parcel boundaries are currently available in 12 states: Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, North Carolina, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. Every other feature works nationwide.
Can I buy on the web instead of in the app?
Yes. Same plans, same prices (the app's free trial isn't offered on the web). Open wikihunt.app/app, sign in, then open the account menu and choose Upgrade to Hunter Pro. Web payments are handled by Stripe, which is the seller of record and takes care of sales tax and VAT. The plan works on the web straight away and in the app when you sign in there with the same account (update the app to the latest version).
Can I use WikiHunt on my computer?
Yes — open wikihunt.app/app and sign in with the same Apple, Google or email account you use in the app. Your waypoints, tracks, hunts and areas sync both ways. On the web you can import GPX, KML, KMZ and GeoJSON files, export, draw areas, edit pins and see property lines for your plan's states. No account yet? It's free: create one in the app under Settings → Your Data, or on the web.
Do parcels show the landowner's name?
Not currently. WikiHunt draws the parcel boundary lines so you can see where private property begins and ends, but it does not include owner names or mailing addresses. Always verify boundaries against county records before relying on them.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Bought in the app: open your iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → WikiHunt → Cancel Subscription.
Bought on the web: open wikihunt.app/app, sign in, then account menu → Manage subscription → Cancel.
Either way you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
How do I get a refund?
App purchases are refunded by Apple: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. For a web purchase, email akos@tallpoppystudio.com with the email address you paid with and we'll sort it out.
How do I restore purchases on a new device?
Open WikiHunt → Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → scroll to the bottom → Delete Account. On the web: account menu → Delete account. Either one permanently removes your account and everything stored under it — waypoints, tracks, hunts, areas and photos. Messages and waypoints you shared in a hunt group stay with that group. If you have a web subscription, cancel it first (Manage subscription); an App Store subscription is cancelled in your iPhone Settings.
Do offline maps work without cell signal?
Yes. Download topo map areas while you have signal, and they'll be available offline. Your GPS position also works without cell signal.
Which states have Game Management Units?
21 states: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Idaho, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. More states are being added.
