Bring your map with you.

Years of waypoints, tracks and hunt areas shouldn't be the reason you stay. Export them from your old app and WikiHunt takes them as GPX, KML, KMZ or GeoJSON.

Fastest · from a computer

onX Hunt → WikiHunt

The onX web map exports everything, including hunt-area shapes.

  1. Open the onX web map (webmap.onxmaps.com) and sign in.
  2. Go to My Content, select what you want to bring (waypoints, tracks, shapes) and choose Export → KML. KML keeps your shapes as real outlines; GPX turns them into lines.
  3. Open wikihunt.app/app, sign in with the account you use in the WikiHunt app, and drag the file onto the map.
  4. Check the preview and import. Everything appears on your phone a moment later.

Straight from the other app

No computer needed.

  1. Export from your old app. The onX phone app exports GPX.
  2. In the share sheet, pick WikiHunt. Files in Mail, Files or AirDrop work the same way: tap the file and choose WikiHunt.
  3. Or open WikiHunt → Saved → Import / Export and choose the file.

What to export from where

If your app can save GPX, KML, KMZ or GeoJSON, WikiHunt can read it.

AppExport asWhat comes across

Good to know

What comes across, and what doesn't.

Names, notes and positions come across. Waypoint types are matched from their names (a "Stand" lands as a Tree Stand), tracks keep their times and elevation when the file has them, and hunt areas arrive with their acreage.

Photos don't. No hunting app puts photos in its export files, so they can't travel.

The free plan holds 10 waypoints. Tracks, area outlines and unlimited waypoints come with any subscription. The import preview tells you exactly what fits before anything is saved.

Leaving is just as easy. WikiHunt exports GPX and KML on every plan, free, because your map is yours.
